The WVU Dance Team Coaching Staff are looking for well-rounded dancers that show a strong background in technical training and can compete on the national stage. They must be proficient in the collegiate styles of jazz, pom, hip-hop, and lyrical. We are also looking for GameDay performers who bring that extra enthusiasm and team spirit! Not only is it important to have strong technical ability but also to have stage presence and a positive and energetic personality. In addition to this, it is important that our dancers are able to speak well and carry themselves in professional settings. If you don’t have all the technical skills but are passionate about cheering the for Mountaineers on Game Day, you could also be a great asset to our team, and we would love for you to audition!
Candidates will be judged on their technical skills, precision and placement, showmanship, movement quality, memory, physical fitness, and overall impression.
